{"id":1179626,"date":"2024-10-21T10:55:38","date_gmt":"2024-10-21T07:55:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nssmc.gov.ua\/?p=1179626"},"modified":"2024-10-25T20:39:39","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T17:39:39","slug":"iurii-boiko-pid-chas-crypto-workshop-my-vsi-prahnemo-unyknuty-sytuatsii-koly-khtos-prodovzhuie-pratsiuvaty-v-sirii-zoni","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nssmc.gov.ua\/en\/iurii-boiko-pid-chas-crypto-workshop-my-vsi-prahnemo-unyknuty-sytuatsii-koly-khtos-prodovzhuie-pratsiuvaty-v-sirii-zoni\/","title":{"rendered":"Yurii Boiko at CRYPTO WORKSHOP: We all want to avoid situations where someone continues to work in the grey zone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>In order to effectively implement the regulation of the virtual asset market, National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC) together with its partners held the first CRYPTO WORKSHOP on the topic: Should Crypto Users Be Afraid of MiCAR?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The participants included lawyers, representatives of services and market traders who discussed the issue together with the regulator:<br \/>\n&#8211; How and when does NSSMC plan to integrate MiCAR provisions into Ukrainian legislation?<br \/>\n&#8211; Challenges faced by the regulator in the process of such integration,<br \/>\n&#8211; Areas where the regulator needs expert assistance from the market.<\/p>\n<p><strong>During his opening remarks, Yurii Boiko, the Commissioner, spoke<\/strong> about the history of the draft law, the work of NSSMC in the VRU Committee, and explained why the regulator chose MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) as the basis for launching the market. He also noted the cooperation of NSSMC with the NBU under a memorandum with the IMF.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abWe all want to avoid situations where someone continues to work in the grey zone. Therefore, we are actively working to create clear and transparent rules for all market participants\u00bb<\/em>, <strong>said Yurii Boiko.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The regulator presented the participants with the draft law, which can be called the Ukrainian analogue of MiCA, and focused on its tax part.<\/p>\n<p>NSSMC plans to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
