{"id":1179794,"date":"2024-12-23T16:46:42","date_gmt":"2024-12-23T14:46:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nssmc.gov.ua\/?p=1179794"},"modified":"2025-01-06T10:35:37","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T08:35:37","slug":"v-ramkakh-vykonannia-vymoh-memorandumu-mvf-zaborona-na-vyvedennia-tsinnykh-paperiv-inozemnykh-emitentiv-z-ukrainy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nssmc.gov.ua\/en\/v-ramkakh-vykonannia-vymoh-memorandumu-mvf-zaborona-na-vyvedennia-tsinnykh-paperiv-inozemnykh-emitentiv-z-ukrainy\/","title":{"rendered":"As part of the implementation of the IMF Memorandum: Ban on the withdrawal of securities of foreign issuers from Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Today, the National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC)<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nssmc.gov.ua\/document\/?id=27745909\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has decided to ban the withdrawal of foreign securities from the depository system for the period of martial law starting from 1 January 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The NSSMC thus complies with the requirements of the Memorandum of Economic and Financial Policies (MEFP) of the IMF&#8217;s Extended Fund Facility (EFF). These changes have been approved by the National Bank of Ukraine in order to harmonise national currency legislation.<\/p>\n<p>The main details of the decision are that it is prohibited to write off securities of foreign issuers from the depository accounting system, except in the following cases<br \/>\n&#8211; corporate transactions of the issuer;<br \/>\n&#8211; bringing the number of securities on the accounts of the Central Depository in line with the data of international depository institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Iraklii Baramiia, Commissioner, commented:<\/strong> \u00abFor eight months, the NSSMC has held numerous meetings as part of the negotiation process with the IMF and the NBU to find a satisfactory solution for the capital markets.
