On 24-25 June, Warsaw hosted an OSCE international summit \u201cThe Next Front Line: Tackling Emerging Challenges in the Virtual Assets Space,\u201d which brought together representatives of financial regulators and financial intelligence agencies from Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, and Georgia, as well as OSCE experts to discuss security in digital asset markets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among the representatives of Ukraine, at the summit were present Commission experts Vita Forsiuk, NSSMC Legal Advisor, and Yelizaveta Revilo, Director of the Strategic Development Department.<\/p>\n

Participants discussed current challenges related to the dynamic development of virtual assets and outlined common approaches to strengthening financial security and combating money laundering.<\/p>\n

Key discussion topics of the summit included:
\n\u2013 development of regulatory strategies and international cooperation in virtual asset market supervision;
\n\u2013 implementation of the FATF standards;
\n\u2013 current threats related to DeFi solutions, anonymous transactions, and stablecoins;
\n\u2013 investigation of financial crimes involving digital assets.<\/p>\n

Such knowledge is of particular importance since our country is currently at a crucial stage of developing a legislative framework for the virtual asset market. One of the Commission’s key tasks is to introduce effective regulation that will enable businesses to grow.<\/p>\n
