This increase demonstrates the gradual growth of the commodity exchange market despite a difficult economic situation and indicates stable demand for key exchange commodities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Key growth drivers:<br \/>\n\u2022 Electricity: +58.5% in terms of trading volume, totaling UAH 131.4 billion.<br \/>\n\u2022 Unprocessed wood and timber: growth of 30.9%, totaling UAH 20.1 billion.<br \/>\n\u2022 Natural gas: +16.2%, totaling UAH 10.7 billion.<br \/>\n\u2022 Coal: +48.9%, totaling UAH 194.6 million.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, there was a decline in the volume of trading in oil exchange commodities due to a number of challenges related to the war:<br \/>\n\u2022 Oil and its distillates: -28.4%.<br \/>\n\u2022 Liquefied petroleum gas: -35.2%.<br \/>\n\u2022 Bitumen: -34.2%.<\/p>\n<p>Market structure:<br \/>\n\u2022 Electricity accounts for the largest share of transactions by volume \u2014 69.7%.<br \/>\n\u2022 In second place are petroleum products, with 13.9%.<br \/>\n\u2022 Next came wood (10.7%) and natural gas (5.6%).<\/p>\n<p>For more details on commodity exchange trading statistics, see our special <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nssmc.gov.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/informatsiia_shchodo_obsiahu_torhiv_na_tovarnykh_birzhakh_protiahom_1_pivrichchia_2024_ta_1_pivrichchia_20251-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">digest<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Positive dynamics indicate stabilization of economic activity, increased transparency, and gradual recovery of industries even amid the war.<\/p>\n<p>The NSSMC keeps up its work on improving the efficiency of exchange trading and creating a modern infrastructure for market development.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In H1 2025, the volume of trade on Ukrainian commodity exchanges reached UAH 188.5 billion, which is 29.5% more than in the same period of 2024 (UAH 145.6 billion).
