The NSSMC approved <\/a>the procedure for returning frozen assets belonging to clients of Freedom Finance Ukraine LLC. This was announced by the Chairman of the NSSMC, Ruslan Magomedov, on his Telegram channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the final regulatory step. After official registration \u2014 approximately in 10 days \u2014 the mechanism for returning assets to clients will be launched. Early next week, we will publish official instructions for the Freedom Finance investors, providing step-by-step guidance on what to do and where to go, and we will finalize the list of clients eligible for payments. This marks the end of a long, technically complex, but important process. The state is fulfilling its obligations to investors,” said Chairman of the NSSMC Ruslan Magomedov.<\/p>\n

The document clearly defines and stipulates:
\n\u25cf who exactly will be returning assets to clients \u2013 this may be selected investment firms or depository institutions, as well as the temporary manager;
\n\u25cf the procedure for confirming the right to return assets if the client’s details have changed or the right to the assets has been transferred to another person;
\n\u25cf creation of a separate list of persons who have been denied being put on the asset list \u2013 for example, due to their links to sanctioned companies or a non-transparent ownership structure;
\n\u25cf clarification of the specifics of assets restitution by the banks \u2014 in accordance with the NBU Resolution No. 65.<\/p>\n

We would like to remind you that the draft Resolution was approved by the Commission on 03 June 2025 and published the same day. It was finalized taking into account the proposals of the National Depository of Ukraine, the Settlement Center, and the National Bank of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Following consultations with NBU experts, the final version of certain provisions was agreed on 08 July and on 11 July the draft was officially submitted to the NBU for approval. Approval by the NBU was necessary in accordance with the current procedure for forming a list of assets of sanctioned market participants. On 25 July 2025 the NBU approved the draft text without comments, and on the same day it was approved by an NSSMC Resolution.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
