The National Securities and Stock Market Commission is expanding its international cooperation with leading financial market regulators. As part of a joint working visit, together with NSSMC Chairman Oleksii Semeniuk, NSSMC Commissioner Maksym Libanov held a meeting with the management of the French regulator, the Autorit\u00e9 des march\u00e9s financiers (AMF).<\/p>\n
The sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in capital market regulation and supervision. Among the priority areas are the convergence of regulatory approaches, the exchange of practical experience, and the development of modern supervisory tools, including SupTech solutions.<\/p>\n
Particular attention was paid to financial literacy among the public and the protection of investors\u2019 rights. Further cooperation will continue within the framework of IOSCO\u2019s international initiatives, taking into account the NSSMC\u2019s intention to join the IOSCO Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMoU).<\/p>\n
They also discussed market integrity, the fight against insider trading, and money laundering. AMF representatives highlighted recent criminal rulings in a case involving an insider trading ring as an example of the importance of effective law enforcement and international coordination.<\/p>\n
The sides emphasized the role of the Legal High Committee for Financial Markets in developing the legal framework for financial markets.<\/p>\n
Following the talks, the National Commission and the AMF reaffirmed their shared commitment to transparency, effective oversight, and the implementation of international standards in capital markets.
