The document establishes a framework for cooperation between the two regulators, facilitating the exchange of experience and joint efforts to advance modern approaches to capital market regulation.<\/p>\n<p>The Memorandum is aimed at strengthening investor protection, enhancing capital market transparency, supporting financial stability, and fostering international cooperation between regulatory authorities. It will also contribute to the further alignment of Ukraine\u2019s regulatory framework with international standards and European Union best practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSigning this document marks the beginning of exactly the kind of exchange of experience and joint integration that will help each of us improve and create an investment environment in Ukraine that will also be attractive to Japanese investors,\u201d said Oleksii Semeniuk, Chairman of the NSSMC.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized the exceptional value of training opportunities for Ukrainian specialists in Tokyo in building a high-quality regulatory framework for capital markets and also invited Japanese partners to visit Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The parties agreed to cooperate in the following areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u25cf\tmarket supervision and financial innovation, including the use of artificial intelligence;<br \/>\n\u25cf\tcybersecurity and operational resilience;<br \/>\n\u25cf\tsustainable finance;<br \/>\n\u25cf\tasset management;<br \/>\n\u25cf\tcorporate governance and disclosure;<br \/>\n\u25cf\tfinancial literacy and investor protection.<\/p>\n<p>The Memorandum also provides for the exchange of regulatory information, consultations, joint seminars and roundtables, training programmes, and the sharing of expert knowledge and experience.<\/p>\n<p>For the NSSMC, this cooperation presents an opportunity to learn from Japan\u2019s experience in the digitalisation of the financial sector, cybersecurity, and modern financial technologies.
