{"id":1183741,"date":"2026-06-30T16:58:02","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T13:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nssmc.gov.ua\/?p=1183741"},"modified":"2026-07-14T12:53:36","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T09:53:36","slug":"ua-verkhovna-rada-pidtrymala-u-pershomu-chytanni-zakonoproiekt-pro-sek-iurytyzatsiiu-ta-oblihatsii-z-pokryttiam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nssmc.gov.ua\/en\/ua-verkhovna-rada-pidtrymala-u-pershomu-chytanni-zakonoproiekt-pro-sek-iurytyzatsiiu-ta-oblihatsii-z-pokryttiam\/","title":{"rendered":"The Verkhovna Rada Approves the Securitisation and Covered Bonds Bill at First Reading"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted, at first reading, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/itd.rada.gov.ua\/billinfo\/Bills\/Card\/69875\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the draft Law<\/a><\/strong> on Securitization and Covered Bonds \u2014 one of the key legislative acts for the development of a modern capital market and the harmonization of Ukrainian legal framework with European Union legislation.<\/p>\n<p>The Law creates the opportunity to introduce in Ukraine financial instruments that have been successfully operating in the countries of the European Union for many years. They enable banks and financial institutions to attract long-term financing more efficiently, manage credit risks, and expand lending to the economy.<\/p>\n<p>The adoption of the draft Law creates the preconditions for:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 the development of the structured finance market;<br \/>\n\u2022 attracting additional resources by banks and financial institutions;<br \/>\n\u2022 increasing the liquidity of the financial system;<br \/>\n\u2022 the introduction of new investment instruments;<br \/>\n\u2022 the development of long-term lending, including mortgage lending.<\/p>\n<p>For Ukraine, this is not just another Law.
