The document aligns Ukrainian legislation with the European Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and replaces the regulations that have been in effect since 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The new requirements apply to operators of organized capital markets and investment firms. Professional participants must now implement systems to monitor suspicious orders and transactions and report them to the Commission in accordance with the STOR* standard.<\/p>\n<p>This decision brings Ukrainian capital markets into line with European Union regulations and makes them more transparent. This will allow faster detection of potential abuses and better protection of law-abiding investors.<\/p>\n<p>Following the public consultation, the Commission took into account most of the proposals made by market participants and experts involved in the FINMAR project.<\/p>\n<p>In the final version of the document, the requirement for investment firms to use specialized software was retained only for cases of algorithmic trading. Professional participants will determine the risk indicators themselves, and the Commission has provided a tentative list of such indicators. If a single transaction was executed by multiple participants, they will be jointly responsible for analyzing it and submitting a STOR report to the Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The new rules take effect next year.
