The NSSMC joins the National Barrier-Free Week

From 19 to 25 May 2025, Ukraine was hosting the National Barrier-Free Week, an initiative launched by First Lady Olena Zelenska as part of the Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Space.

A barrier-free space is about equal access for everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive characteristics. It’s not just about ramps or accessible premises within buildings – it’s also about a culture of respect, inclusive communication, and equal access to public services, education, work, and information.

For its part, the NSSMC is constantly working to increase transparency, improve public communication, and create clear for understanding services and intelligible financial information. One of the important areas in this context is the development of financial education.

Chairman of the Commission Ruslan Magomedov regularly gives public lectures for students of Ukrainian universities, and in 2025, it is planned to scale up this initiative as part of the Regulator’s educational and barrier-free policy. In particular, the NSSMC and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv have recently signed a Memorandum of Cooperation that creates conditions for training young leaders of the country’s financial transformation.
