The NSSMC approved a pilot project to consolidate the assets of five funds into a single investment fund

The Commission approved a pilot project aimed at promoting investment opportunities in Ukraine. It involves combining the assets of five funds into a single investment fund, INZHUR REIT. The investment group will act as the successor to all existing agreements and obligations of these funds.

On its side, the Commission, as a regulator, strives to make investing in Ukraine as simple and accessible as possible, while ensuring reliable investor protection. Therefore, a key advantage of this project is the legally enshrined right of investors to submit applications for the redemption of their certificates until April 4, 2026.

How will the joint investment fund operate?

Instead of selling assets during liquidation, they will be transferred to a single fund. Holders of investment certificates will be able to exchange them for certificates of the joint fund. This will help diversify risks, as the funds will be distributed across a broader portfolio of assets, including real estate.

This pilot project is an important step that will allow companies to respond flexibly to the challenges and risks faced by Ukraine’s economy during the full-scale invasion. In the future, this will provide an opportunity to incorporate new mechanisms for investor protection into Ukrainian legislation.
