Institutional development of the NSSMC: another meeting with the IMF mission was held

The NSSMC team, led by its Chairman Ruslan Magomedov, held a meeting with the IMF mission, represented by Head of Mission Gavin Gray and IMF experts Dermot Monaghan, Gort Minke, Torsten Wesel, and Priscilla Toffano. The Ukrainian side was represented by the Commissioners, Head of the NSSMC Office Mykhailo Yanchuk, and his deputies Mykhailo Latynskyi and Maksym Rivtin.

The key topics were the state of play with the implementation of certain provisions of the Memorandum with the IMF (MEFP), corporate governance, future regulation of the virtual assets market, and development of legislation concerning investment activities and JIIs.

In addition, the Commission presented its plans for institutional development, which include improving internal IT processes in order to automate monitoring procedures and the provision of administrative services, as well as optimizing the XBRL financial reporting system.

The participants of the meeting confirmed their readiness for further cooperation to ensure the stability of the financial sector and the development of capital markets in Ukraine.
