OKR methodology: Commission set strategic goals for 2027

The Commission already held its second event on the implementation of the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) methodology in strategic planning and daily operational activities.

The Chairman of the NSSMC, Commissioners, the Head and Deputy Heads of the NSSMC Office took part in the meeting. The speakers were former Head of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK) Oleksandr Novikov and OKR advisor Fedir Markov.

Three key strategic objectives for the development of Ukraine’s financial market until April 2027 were identified during the event.

The first objective is to develop capital market instruments and sources of business financing. This involves creating a modern system for attracting investment that will provide businesses with access to long-term capital. Plans include improving existing financial instruments and introducing new ones, developing corporate bonds, and building capital market infrastructure. The focus is also on increasing the transparency, efficiency, and trust of market participants.

The second strategic goal is to attract private and structural capital to restore Ukraine’s economy. The main task is to create a favorable environment for investors, capable of ensuring an inflow of domestic and foreign investments into enterprises, infrastructure, and restoration projects. It is planned to activate public-private partnerships and increase Ukraine’s investment attractiveness in the eyes of international partners.

The third objective is to enhance the institutional capacity of the NSSMC. This objective encompasses the introduction of risk-based supervision, harmonization of regulation with IOSCO and EU international standards, and the development of modern digital analytics and control tools. At the same time, it is planned to improve corporate governance within the Commission, increase the transparency of its activities, develop effective communications with market participants, and strengthen the Regulator’s reputation as a reliable and professional partner.
