NSSMC calls for participation in discussing regulatory acts on the activities of rating agencies

The National Securities and Stock Market Commission approved and submitted for public discussion draft regulations that set requirements for rating agencies, including foreign ones, which are planning to operate in Ukraine and determine public credit or sovereign ratings.

In particular, these drafts define the procedure for authorizing rating agencies and a list of documents required for this purpose, as well as the procedure for their activities and reporting.

This decision is an important step toward the implementation of new legislation, which will come into force on 01 January 2026, and will regulate the activities of rating agencies in Ukraine in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Rating.”

The Commission emphasizes that it is important to hear the opinions of market participants so that the document is as effective and convenient to use as possible.
