Meeting between the NSSMC and the IMF: focus on market reform and development

The National Securities and Stock Market Commission, headed by Chairman Ruslan Magomedov, held a working meeting with a mission from the International Monetary Fund. The mission was represented by Gort Minke, Priscilla Toffano, and Taras Ivanyshyn. On the Ukrainian side, the Commissioners, the Head of the Office, and his deputy took part in the negotiations.

During the meeting, the parties outlined the key stages and approaches to forming an updated cooperation program. Representatives of the NSSMC informed their partners about the current state of the Ukrainian capital market, the reform of the regulator, and progress in strengthening its institutional capacity.

The IMF team and the NSSMC agreed on a shared vision for further steps aimed at improving regulatory efficiency and developing the stock market, which is important for the stability of the financial sector as a whole.
