The main tasks of the Ethics Committee are:
providing advice on the interpretation and application of the Code;
raising awareness among employees, conducting regular mandatory training, and testing Commission employees’ knowledge of the Code;
conducting integrity checks and investigating circumstances described in complaints from other Commission employees and citizens that could indicate a violation or attempted violation of the principles of ethical conduct set forth in the Code;
monitoring and verifying the compliance of the actions of Commission employees with the requirements of the Code;
recording cases of non-compliance with the Code;
preparing draft Commission acts related to the implementation of the Code;
keeping records of all proposed, accepted, and rejected gifts, including the reasons for rejecting gifts and the consequences of accepting them;
considering issues related to granting consent to hold multiple positions in cases where such combination is permitted by law;
approving the execution of legal transactions with financial instruments by a Commission employee and/or a member of their family in cases provided for by law;
preparing an annual report on its activities;
exercising other powers assigned to the Ethics Committee by the Code.
