Happy Constitution Day of Ukraine!

On 28 June, we celebrate Ukraine’s Constitution Day — a day that reminds us of the values upon which our state is built: freedom, dignity, the rule of law, and the right of Ukrainians to determine their own future.

At the same time, Ukrainian statehood has deep historical roots. As early as 1710, Hetman Pylyp Orlyk penned a Constitution that became one of the first documents in Europe to define the principles of government and rights of citizens. Even then, Ukrainians aspired to live in a state where the government acts in accordance with the law and human rights are respected.

Today, in the midst of a full-scale war, these values take on special significance. Every day, Ukrainians defend not only their homeland but also their right to live in a free, democratic country.
