Event announcement: presentation of a draft law on personal investment accounts

Dear market participants and media representatives!

On 17 December at 16h00, the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center (2 Khreshchatyk Street) will host a presentation of the draft Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Other Laws of Ukraine Regarding Mechanisms for Encouraging Individual Investment and Supporting National Issuers.”

The speakers at the event will be Taras Tarasenko, Member of Parliament of Ukraine of the IX convocation, and Ruslan Magomedov, Chairman of the NSSMC.

The draft law provides for the introduction of investment accounts — a modern tool that expands citizens’ opportunities in the field of savings and investment. The new mechanism will allow every Ukrainian to open an investment account and, provided that the funds are kept for five years, receive passive income without taxation. In the event of early withdrawal of funds, taxes will be paid on general terms.
