Commission continues its systematic work with the market to modernize the NPF model

The Chairman of the NSSMC, Oleksii Semeniuk, and NSSMC Commissioners Arsen Ilin, Maxym Libanov, and Iraklii Baramiia held a working meeting with representatives of the professional community on the further development of the non-state pension (NPF) system.

The discussion focused on updating the model for the functioning of the third level of the pension system, improving regulatory mechanisms, and establishing legislative prerequisites for launching the accumulation level.

Key topics of discussion include:
– adapting legislation to EU approaches and best international practices;
– improving the level of protection for participants’ pension contributions;
– improving asset management requirements and strengthening supervision;
– developing a comprehensive and transparent model for the operation of non-state pension funds.

Participants of the discussion emphasized that modernization should take into account the specifics of the Ukrainian market and the strategic goal of creating a sustainable and effective accumulation system.

Work on legislative amendments continues in the form of consultations with the professional community. Based on the results of additional refinement of the parties’ positions, coordinated proposals will be formed for submission to Parliament.
