The NSSMC has approved 70% of the legislation needed to return money to the clients of Freedom Finance

The Commission has been continuously moving toward resolving the situation with the assets of clients of the sanctioned professional market operator LLC Freedom Finance Ukraina. As of today, around 70% of necessary steps have been taken — two thirds of the normative changes that are paving the way toward returning money and securities to clients of the company.

At the latest Commission meeting, the Procedure for compiling a list of the assets of clients of a sanctioned market professional operator was submitted to the Ministry of Justice for adjustment and state registration.

In parallel with the rule-making part, practical work has been under way — on creating a database of client assets. Next steps — approval of the list and the launch of the assets return procedure itself. Both steps will be made in parallel, to accelerate the process.
