Independence and integrity are key requirements for NSSMC authorized officials

The NSSMC is still running a competition for the positions of authorized officials. Applications will be accepted through 23 September.

In addition to professional experience, some of the key requirements for this position are independent judgment, impartiality, and integrity.

This is consistent with the powers of an authorized official: when reviewing cases, the official must evaluate the facts and evidence, apply legislation, and make professional decisions regardless of external expectations.

Proper management of conflicts of interest is particularly important. An authorized official must maintain professional distance and act strictly within the scope of their authority.

Such requirements have practical significance for the market: the consistency and impartiality of regulatory decisions directly affect the predictability of rule enforcement and confidence in the regulator.
