For the transparency of trades: price indexes for raw wood have been launched

A new tool has become available on the organized commodity market. The Ukrainian Universal Exchange has started publishing weekly and monthly price indices for round timber and firewood. Calculations are made on the basis of the results of stock market trading.

In the near future, it is planned to introduce a daily index, currently the publication of this data is in test mode.
Calculating the price index for individual groups of goods is a generally accepted global practice. Its use will contribute to a more efficient and transparent sale of wood. In addition, the tool allows market participants and other interested parties to analyze the situation and the market and build procurement strategies for the future.
We would like to remind you that from July 2021, raw wood must be sold exclusively on commodity exchanges that have the appropriate license from the NSSMC.
