The NSSMC management met with representatives of the World Bank

The Chairman of the NSSMC, Ruslan Magomedov, held a productive working meeting with representatives of the World Bank delegation. The NSSMC was also represented by its Commissioners: Iraklii Baramiia, Maksym Libanov, Yaroslav Shliakhov, and Arsen Ilin. Additionally, Mykhaylo Yanchuk, Head of the NSSMC Office, and Mykhailo Latynskyi, Advisor to the Chairman of the NSSMC, were present at the meeting.

The World Bank was represented by a financial sector team consisting of Johanna Jaeger, Yevhen Hrebeniuk, Simon Christopher Walley, Vahe Vardanyan and Maksym Kuprin.

The participants discussed the reorganisation of the NSSMC in accordance with IOSCO principles and the possibility of cooperation in this area. A separate topic of the meeting was securitisation and construction financing in the context of Ukraine’s reconstruction.

As a result, the international partners confirmed their readiness to continue supporting the NSSMC, in particular in terms of providing expert assistance to bring Ukrainian legislation in line with international standards.

Ruslan Magomedov, the NSSMC Chairman, also expressed his gratitude to the partners for their comprehensive support of the NSSMC’s projects and a reliable shoulder on the way to transforming the regulator.
