On May 15, 2025, Arsen Ilin, NSSMC Commissioner, took part in the Second Foreign Investment Congress. The event became a platform for a meaningful dialogue between representatives of the financial sector, government, business and international partners on the challenges and opportunities of Ukraine’s economic transformation.
The key topics of the Congress include the development of the agro-industrial complex, energy security, financial innovations and digital solutions that can ensure sustainable economic growth.
During the discussions, special attention was paid to capital market instruments already operating in Ukraine and demonstrating the first results, as well as to the prospects for introducing new solutions.
Examples include scoring-based microfinance, which allows for quick and efficient raising of money. Activitis became one of the first FinTech companies to conduct a public issue of securities with the assistance of the NSSMC, using a modern digital model of investment collection and distribution. This mechanism opens up new opportunities for supporting small businesses.
Agricultural notes, a new approach to agricultural financing, have become yet another important tool. They make possible for agricultural producers to quickly attract resources for seasonal needs without complicated bureaucracy.
Special attention was paid to ESG bonds as a promising instrument for financing projects in the field of recycling, zero waste production, and sustainable economy. This approach has already proven itself in international markets, and has the potential to become a key to the green transformation in Ukraine.
Participants in the Congress also discussed the development of trade in agricultural products in commodity markets. The NSSMC is working to create mechanisms that will allow small and medium-sized producers to form a fair market price and receive a guarantee of payment for delivered products, which is critical for the stability of the agricultural business, the development of small and medium-sized agricultural producers and processing companies.
The Commission continues to work actively on introducing new financial instruments that will help attract investment, develop the market, and support key sectors of the Ukrainian economy and reconstruction.
