DLT technologies in capital markets: approaches to their implementation discussed at NSSMC

The National Securities and Stock Market Commission held a meeting attended by representatives of government agencies. The NSSMC Chairman reported this on his Telegram channel.

On behalf of the Commission, the meeting was attended by NSSMC Chairman Oleksii Semeniuk and NSSMC Commissioners Arsen Ilin and Yurii Shapoval.

Representatives from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and the National Depository of Ukraine also joined the discussion.

During the meeting, they discussed the potential usage of RWA tokens, as well as the potential deployment of capital market infrastructure based on DLT technologies.

“Ukraine is already among the leaders in the field of digitalization, so it is important not only to implement new technologies but also to develop approaches to their use. DLT and RWA open up opportunities for new models of data exchange and asset management, which are gradually becoming the global standard,” said Oleksii Semeniuk, the NSSMC Chairman.

The participants emphasized the need to develop innovations while taking into account regulatory requirements and the readiness of the infrastructure.

Following the meeting, it was agreed to continue working at the technical level, involving key institutions to develop a coordinated approach to the further implementation of DLT.
