NSSMC discussed with international banks the possibilities of attracting investors in Ukrainian municipal bonds

During a working visit to Poland, Oleksii Semeniuk, Chairman of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, and Arsen Ilin, NSSMC Commissioner, held meetings with representatives of Citibank and BNP Paribas.

The main focus of the talks was to gauge the interest of international institutional investors in purchasing Ukrainian municipal bonds and to discuss the conditions under which such investments could be made.

During the meetings, the sides discussed the role of international banks as intermediaries between issuers and investors, as well as the practical aspects of attracting foreign capital into local instruments.

Particular attention was paid to the requirements of institutional investors and approaches to generating demand for such instruments.

The NSSMC continues to work with international partners to expand opportunities for attracting foreign capital to finance Ukrainian communities.
