NSSMC strengthens cooperation with TheCityUK on capital market development

Oleksii Semeniuk, Chairman of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, met with representatives of TheCityUK — Managing Director Nicola Watkinson, Executive Director of The City-Ukraine Hub Alexander Thomas, and Senior Project Manager for Ukraine Inna Meteleva. The NSSMC Chairman informed about this on his Telegram channel.

During the meeting, the sides discussed where the experience of international partners could be most useful and lead to practical results.

Particular attention was paid to the Commission’s key priorities for 2026–2027. These include internal transformation, simplifying regulations for businesses, developing corporate governance, launching a virtual assets market, and aligning legislation with European Union standards.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in several areas, including:
– development of the municipal bond market;
– further transformation of corporate governance;
– attracting private investors;
– exchange of EU practical experience.

The meeting participants confirmed their readiness to continue working on the identified areas and to strengthen cooperation where it yields practical results.

NSSMC Chairman Oleksii Semeniuk thanked the partners for their collaboration in developing transparent and competitive capital markets in Ukraine.
