Today Ukraine celebrates 35 years of independence

Independence is not just the right to have your own country. It is the ability to determine your own future, build strong institutions, develop the economy, and take responsibility for your own decisions.

Today, Ukraine is once again fighting for this right at an extremely high cost. And our task is not only to defend our independence, but also to fill it with strength.

A strong state needs a strong economy — one in which Ukrainian businesses have opportunities to grow, citizens can save and invest, and capital is put to work for the country’s recovery and future.

That is exactly how we view our work at the Commission: to build a modern capital market that Ukrainians and international investors trust and that strengthens Ukraine’s economic resilience.

We ourselves determine our future. And every day, we work to ensure that Ukraine has enough strength and resources to protect it.
