Today, 29 July, the National Securities and Stock Market Commission held its regular meeting. The agenda included 31 items concerning regulatory and legal oversight, the registration of securities issues, admission of foreign securities, investor protection, and internal organizational activities.
Key regulatory and strategic initiatives include reviewing the draft Strategy for the Development of Ukraine’s Woodworking and Furniture Industry until 2030, approving the Regulations on the objective presentation of investment recommendations and the implementation of share buyback and stabilization programs, as well as the endorsement of a draft Regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the application of special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).
An important set of decisions concerned investor protection and oversight of market participants’ activities: informing about dubious investment projects (Aura Capital Invest, Broox, Comfortrade), and making changes regarding the assets of FREEDOM FINANCE UKRAINE LLC, which is under sanctions.
Significant attention was paid to registration and corporate procedures: the registration of issues and reports on the issue of shares and corporate bonds, the approval of the charters of venture capital corporate investment funds, as well as the admission of securities issued by a number of foreign issuers (iShares, Invesco, SPDR, Vanguard) to trading in Ukraine.
