The NSSMC expands national register of securities issues. What will be new?

The National Securities and Stock Market Commission updates the national register of securities issues. The Resolution on this was made by the Commissioners at a meeting of the regulator.

“We understand that the national register is a key instrument for the work both for the NSSMC itself, market participants and investors. For this purpose, the national register must be as complete and easy to use as possible. In other words, it should contain absolutely all the information on securities issues, provide a variety of search options. We’ve expected and implemented these changes,” commented Yurii Boiko, the Commissioner of the NSSMC.

Therefore, the NSSMC will update the national register with information on:

• issues of bank`s certificates of deposit registered by the Central Depository;
• issues of derivative securities registered by the NSSMC: the option certificates, stock warrants, credit linked notes, depositary receipts.

The regulator will also supplement the national register with the information on ISIN codes (International Securities Identification Numbers) and LEI codes (International Legal Entity Identifier Identification Codes in case of a public offer). This will make it easier to find the necessary data in the registry.
