There is a Victory in the financial market: sanctions imposed against the aggressor country!

The European clearing system Clearstream has announced that it has imposed restrictions on transactions with russia’s National Settlement Center (NDA). This led to the suspension of some operations of Russian clients with foreign securities.

The NSSMC, for its part, will continue to work until the NSD account is completely blocked in cooperation with international counterparts.

Another European clearing house, Euroclear, has also abolished the adoption of the Russian ruble as its settlement currency and restricted securities transactions. Euroclear has shut down an account with ING Bank, its cash correspondent in moscow. Thus, customers are no longer allowed to transfer any rubles to ING Bank.

The NSSMC works daily with regulators in Europe and North America to impose sanctions on russia over its aggression in Ukraine.
